Hi all. As a child I saw a movie about a woman who went to spent a short
time (weekend) at an old house. When she got there she seemed to know a
lot about the place, and even discoveres a secret passage at one point.

Eventually she discovered that she was a witch in a previous life (during
the ol' days, not a modern wiccan) and turned in her entire coven to
the authoratives in order to avoid being burned at the stake.

She subsequently discovers her husband and best friend of many years were
part of this coven in their previous lives. They all came back to "get
her back".

The movie would date from the late 60s or early 70s.

Can anyone help me out with the name of this film? I've Googled for it
(and looked at IMDB) but haven't found it.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers,
Rob

It could probably be one of a thousand movies.

The one it reminds me of a bit is a very early Tom Selleck movie
called "Daughters of Satan":

Was there a painting involved of the witch woman in her previous life?

Sounds like a Hope Lange TV Movie called Crowhaven Farm.
Did the witches put a large board over the heroine and place rocks on top of
the board trying to crush the lead to death?

That's the one!

An IMDB user comment confirms it at the movie I remember:

It was probably pretty B-grade but I found it memorable as a child.
I'd like to find it and watch it again to see what I thought of it now :)

Thanks guys.

You might enjoy this:

I read that Crowhaven Farm has been shown on Encore's
mystery channel. (Monthly listings are online here
http://www.starzsuperpak.com/se/mystery/schedule.html?month=1/6/2004)

Someone might tape it for you if it's rerun in the future.

I don't know the title, but it sounds like another film where a woman was also
a witch, and a doctor regresses her back in time and also goes back to her
previous life, where he meets SATAN.
